Thank you for coming out to see Irma P. Hall (Artistic Director) in the February production of "Having Our Say". She is one of the founding members of the African-American Repertory Theater, along with Regina Washington (Executive Managing Director) and Vince McGill. The new theater company was made possible, in part, by a grant from the DeSoto Arts Commission.

MISSION STATEMENT:
To produce engaging, culturally diverse theater from an African American perspective while educating our community on African American history and the arts.
African-American Repertory Theater’s goals are:
To create opportunity for African American artists, while exercising non-traditional casting to create an all-inclusive tapestry reflective of the members of our community.
To produce quality cross cultural theater that will enhance the values of the African American community.
To educate our youth and the community at large to foster a greater awareness of African American history and the arts.
To encourage collaborative efforts between organizations from a variety of sectors to leave a lasting impact on our society.
To use the arts to dispel the stereotypes of the African American community and other cultures.
